See MD: Sciatica, occurs when one of your lumbar spinal nerves is irritated. This can often improve on it's own, but if pain lasts greater than 2 weeks see your physician. There are many non-surgical options including medication, therapy, and injections.

Thanks for asking!: Lowback pain and radiation in lower extremity is due to pressure on lower lumber spinal nerve roots. Causes-injury- abuses of low back -lifting heavy or twisting suddenly, posture, spinal problems, or age , etc r causes. Find root cause. Bed-rest, and local heat or cold plus gentle exercises of flexing of spine can give relief with muscle relaxants and analgesics.

Spine Pain Options: This chronic pain in the distribution as you suggested is the result of an irritated nerve or facet joints or other injury typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease, etc requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist and may be candidate for facet injections/radiofrequency ablation and epidural steroid injection.
