Two things: 1) have a good stretching/strengthening program to keep everything balanced as possible 2) practice good osteoporosis prevention (calcium intake/weight bearing exercise/dexa scan surveillance/meds if necessary).

Surgery: After growth stops, scoliosis curves that were sizable at that point will progress by as much as 1 degree every year. The rib hump goes along with the spine curvature. Unfortunately, the only way to reliably prevent progression at your age is a spinal fusion.
