Radiographs: We would first do a thorough exam and take xrays to determine if we see anything on plain films. Treatment for a stress fracture is immobilization and depending on the location and severity likely non-weightbearing.

Stress fracture: Stress fracture r usually not picked up on regular x-rays. Your physician can order an MRI to identify a stress fracture.
