Globes not asthma: The sensation you are describing is usually called globus. This is not a typical asthma symptom. Get it checked out by your dr.

Check vocal cord: Some people may suffer from vocal cord closure when breathing in. This condition is called vocal cord dysfunction which may benefit from speech therapy. Of course, anxiety may also induce similar symptoms. See an allergist.

No: You have something else going on. Maybe reflux, maybe a vocal cord problem. You need to be examined with a flexible laryngoscope either by an allergist or an otolaryngologist.
