Depends: If you took pain medications with opioids like vicodin or Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) or Codeine that maybe causing the constipation.

Post abortion issues: Often immediately after an abortion the stimulation of the nerves in the lumbosacral plexus(rectum and uterus) can impact colonic motility with constipation ensuing for a couple of days. However, the combination of pain + constipation may indicate a more serious uterine perforation during a surgical abortion that needs the AB MD to see immediately, especially if a fever is present.
