Not likely--tonsils!: The 'bumps'' on the back of your tongue are circumvalate papillae-type of taste bud. The bumps in the side of the tongue in the back are tonsil tissue--the 'golf ball' looking things in the back of your throat. All are normal. However! if you engage in risky sexual behaviors, you'll need to see your pcp to be sure. Don't risk ignorance--get it checked!
