A member asked:

Are pimples caused by a bacteria or fungi infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Either possible: But this depends upon what you are classifying as "pimples". Acne may be enhanced by bacteria that are not necessarily causative. Some fungi can present with skin eruptions that may look like pimples. Staphylococci can produce skin abscesses (boils) that some will call pimples.
