Eczema or Staph Infn: Eczema is not contageous, it is an infammatory disorder of the skin. Eczema can become secondarily infected with staphylococcus as it is a skin organism and the eczema represents breaks in our normal protection system of the skin. Staph is very contageous. It can be spread person-person, in foods and grom fomite (inanimage object) to human. Good handwashing prevents spread.
