Contagious: Staph infection can be contagious especially if you have troubles with immune system. Diabetes is a contributor to that. Treatment may take longer than in someone without immune compromise.

MRSA?: Staph can be transmitted from an infected person. An especial subcategory is the MRSA group which will set off alarms in hospitals and clinics. If you have that organism you will need special antibiotics and special care. Your family doctor can address this for you.
