Good question: Some have theorized that repeated injury to tissues may lead to the development of cancer because of the constant state of cell growth and repair but to my knowledge, there is no well established relationship between the two. If so, i'm in trouble.....

Theoretically Yes: The odds of that happening are very low, but it is possible. If you continue with this habit, at the very least, have your mouth checked one a year by a dentist.
