What do you recommend for gum disease relief?

Good oral hygeine.: Probably the best treatment for most gum disease is regular trips to the dentist for check-up, and good oral hygeine at home, like brushing regularly, and flossing. Poor oral health can lead to infections that can travel within the bloodstream.

Periodontist: Mild gum disease can be a simple fix from your general dentist. But, a lot of gum disease is under treated. It is a painless infection, so you are relying on someone's expertise to guide you. Seek a periodontist for an opinion.

See a periodontist: If you rely only on oral hygiene and not a definitive treatment, the periodontal infection and gum disease always will come back. Periodontist will treat gum disease by treating the cause and getting rid of the infection. A periodontist is a dentist specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and alveolar bone resorption.
