Periodontal Disease: Periodontal disease results in gingival pockets and loss of bony support of the teeth secondary to the build up of calculus and the release of toxins around the teeth. Therapy by a periodontist is usually required and will stabilize the problem but not reverse the damage. You really can't eat yourself out of periodontitis.

Unfortunately, no: The good news is you can reverse or even prevent it by simply brushing, flossing your teeth and see a dentist on a regular basis. Good luck.

No: Diet will not cure infection. Please see your Dentist to help you manage your problem. Gum disease has been implicated in stroke, heart disease, kidney malfunction, premature births, and so much more. Don't play with this, see a Dentist.
