No: Foot injuries especially a 5th metatarsal fracture can take up to 3 months to heal in most cases. If your fracture has not healed after 3 months, you may need a bone stimulator to increase the chance of fully healing the fracture. Consult with your foot specialist to make sure your fracture is showing signs of healing.

Depends on activity: If you have good health and good alignment and good fixation it should heal in about 6 weeks, but if there was any type of motion or stress on the bone during healing or if you have a calcium or other health issue such as diabetes, it could take longer.

Yes: Bone fracture should be healed in 6-8 weeks assuming it was treated correctly. If its at base of 5 th met these are called jones fractures and more often than not need surgery. Talk to your doctor about a bone stimulator.

Not unusual: No, it is not unusual as it can take several weeks to months to heal a fracture. The full recovery make take longer than 3 months depending on your individual circumstance. Good luck.
