5th Metatarsal: How much does it limit your activity? If it bothers you a lot, consider treatment, if not live with it.

Varies: Fractures in that area are often considered "avulsion" fractures. The foot is injured in a twisting injury and the ligament that inserts into the base of the metatarsal pulls a piece of bone off in the injury. It is not terribly uncommon for those fractures to be displaced and not to heal. If it is not causing symptoms can be "lived with". If it is, surgery can be done to fix.
