White blood cell cou: There types of cancers that can increase white blood cell counts but that is a very unusual reason to have the increase. It's more likely due to infection. See your primary care physician.

Depends on the....: Cancer. Leukemias of all types can be associated with an elevated WBC count, sometimes very high indeed. However, this is not always the case, and sometimes pancytopenia is seen instead. Solid tumors can be associated with an elevated WBC count, but less commonly so. Cancer or not, an elevated WBC count needs to be explained. Work with your doctor to figure this out. Good luck.
