Not likely,: If that is all you had, you probably have no problem, if you do no more. If you also do smokeless tobacco, i recommend stopping. Tobacco use, including smokeless tobacco, is certainly a risk factor. Most patients with these kinds of cancers present at over age 50. There may be few or no symptoms. Mouth cancers can present as non healing ulcers that can be painful.

Yes: Mouth cancer is most often associated with cigarette smoking, however, people who have never smoked can still get this. If you have concerns, you should bring them to the attention of your health care provider.
