For Some It Is: If excedrin works for you, great. If not, Ibuprofen or Naproxen seem to be the best over-the-counter meds for dental pain. However, they never cure the problem. Teeth aren't supposed to hurt, & if they do, you should see a dentist & actually get the tooth fixed. Masking the pain with meds can only hold you for a while...Usually the condition continues to get worse even if you're comfortable.

May help: Ibuprofen 400/600 mg every 6 hours is better if you have no contraindications.
