Better Idea: Get that tooth evaluated ASAP. Long holiday weekend coming up. The severe pain can become unbearable pain in a very short time. The tooth obviously needs attention, and now. All the best...

Tooth pain: A dentist can treat the tooth and get you out of pain faster while pain medication, no matter how strong will only cover up the pain temporarily and will only return as you have already discovered. The cause of the pain must be determined and then treated accordingly. Call your own dentist or find one soon.
