Not necessarily: Typically the exercises that are focused on to strengthen the hip focus on abduction, and extension. These exercises work on the large muscles such as the gluteus. Adduction and flexion should also be part of any hip therapy regimen and are not necessarily bad unless there is a particular reason (ie patients with hip replacements should avoid adduction as may put them at risk for dislocation).
