Cuts: Peroxide is less caustic and safe, witch hazel is an astringent and can clean the area better.

Cuts: Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is not very good as an antiseptic. Cleaning injured skin w hydrogen peroxide may lead to tissue damage. Although hydrogen peroxide was often used in the past for wound care – that is not recommended. It may delay healing. Witch hazel is a plant extract which was used medicinally by American Indians. It has astringent & antioxidant qualities & may help to heal broken skin
