I don't know: It could be anything- from a bony spurt, bone cyst, benign tumor, bone cancer etc. You need to see your md and discuss more about possibilities. Some imaging should be done- mri, bone scan, biopsy should be considered in the right setting.

Needs evaluation: Finding a lump is always anxiety producing. I would recommend you see your doc to further evaluate where the lump is and whether it is related to soft tissue overlying the bone or the bone itself. Work-up may include imaging of the area and appropriate referral for biopsy if indicated.
