MCL or meniscus: Mcl laxity or strain is most likely, meniscal tear less likely. C an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation. A brace may help.

Knee pain: This could be caused by a few things. I would see a sports medicine specialist to evaluate your mcl and meniscus. Best of luck!

Likely plica: Tissues in the knee right next to your knee cap can become swollen and inflamed. This will cause a pinching sharp pain on the inside of the knee cap with certain movements. This is very common with soccer. Try ice, Ibuprofen and some rest. It usually will pass. If symptoms change, such as it becomes painful to walk or bend, and swelling develops, then seek further evaluation.

Meniscus.: It could be a medial meniscus tear, which is the cushion between the thigh bone and the shin bone. See an orthopedic sports medicine knee specialist.
