A member asked:

What is the relationship between parasitic infection and anemia? in diagram.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex: Assuming parasites means protozoa and worms. Malaria is one of the world's greatest causes of anemia, and hookworm and other intestinal worms cause iron loss and ultimately anemia. It's unfortunate that these exist nowadays. Don't accept a diagnosis of "parasites" from a non-evidence-based practitioner.
