May be an ant bite.: A singular simple red circular spot with a slightly raised white center--comparable to a pimple most frequently signals an insect bite. Ants are famous for triggering isolated papules akin to this. Other insects may cause a similar reaction as well, but tend to be more in clusters such as from flea bites or bed bugs. You might carefully inspect the play and sleep areas to search for crawling bugs.
