Stomach problem: You may have gastritis, or have an ulcer. Other GI problems can cause this as well. I would start with your family doctor who will most likely refer you for further testing.

Probably not: You don't say what else is going on. If it is gone and only happened once then i'd right it off as a stitch. Could have been gas, could be early signs of pneumonia if it gets progressively worse and is associated with difficulty breathing and a cough. Chances are the cause was benign and the pain itself precipitated the nausea.
