It often: Gets better with stool softners and steroid cream like anusol h i anything which hardens your stool and makes you strain, makes it worse. So too can pregnancy sometimes surgery is needed.

Constipation: Hard bms make it worse. Metamucil is okay but you should supplement it with a high fiber diet. The easiest way to do that is to eat cereals like fiber one and all bran everyday. You can mix them with other cereal you prefer. Read the lablels: they both contain 12-14 grams of fiber per serving whereas most cereals only have 1-3 grams. Try to eat at least 20 grams a day.More if able without xs gas.
