Renal failure?: I would not worry about any long standing effects of your acute renal failure (arf). Your serum creatinine (c) is falling, which is a good sing. I do not know what your c was before your ARF and as your c is going down, i would agree with your doctor. You probably will have no long term renal effects from your arf.

No and yes: It's not fatal and is likely to be reversible. In fact, it sounds like it's already reversing.
