No worry: The pap smear is a screening tool for cervical cancer. Sometimes the pap can also pick up infections. But having a trichomonas infection, doesn't increase your risk for cervical cancer. If pap is abnormal, they may do biopsy. They may retest you to see if trichomonas is gone. Doc can check for trich by looking under microscope too, don't need a pap to check for trich. Good luck, you'll be fine.

No: Your letter suggests that you have received antibiotics for the trichomonas infection. If so, the pap smear may return to normal. Your biopsy in june reported an inflammation of the cervix, not pre-cancer cells that a pap smear aims to detect. Another biopsy is unlikely. Have you had any screening tests for sexual transmitted infection? If not, speak to your doctor about it.

Cervical biopsy: You are asking the wrong persons. This is not an issue that can be solved on the internet. You are anxious about results and theorizing about what could, would, should occur "if". Go back and get seen and talk your anxiety over with the doctor. All should be better. Good luck.
