Yes: There is no need to repeat a pap smear unless it's abnormal. Cervicitis is treated with antibiotics and cervical infections can be evaluated for quickly without the need for waiting six months. First ask your doctor to explain the reasoning for their plan as they may provide informantion that would make it reasonable to wait. However if you are uncomfortable with the plan seek a second opinion.
