No: Hypothyroidism dose not respond to food. If due to iodine deficiency will respond iodine fortification. If due to hashimotors will respond to thyroid hormone meds.

Not necessarily: Hypothyroidism, unless it is caused by lack of dietary iodine will need to be corrected with replacement of thyroid hormone.
