Tubes: The biggest risk to fertility after pid is blockage of the tubes from scar tissue. There is a simple xray test called and hsg that can show whether the tubes are open or not.

Unknown risk: If you have had pid in the past, then there is a decent chance that this can affect the function of your fallopian tubes. This is not a certainty, just an increased risk. At the point that you are trying to get pregnant, you could ask for an imaging study of your tubes called a hysterosalpingogram. This would be reasonable at some point, but in the meantime, consider birth control and condoms.
