Yes: A woman can get pregnant while she has PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), and she can get PID while she is pregnant. PID is bad news but can be treated, and is easily preventable... by not catching the STD germs from another person. That means she should get checked for STD infections soon after starting sexual activities with another person, and then follow her doctor's re-screening instructions.
