A member asked:

Can a woman with pid, get pregnant, if pid is properly treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely: If you mean, can a woman had pid that was treated get pregnant in the future, the answer is likely yes. Often if the first episode of pid is treated soon with antibiotics there may be no scarring of the tubes. However the more times a woman has pid the more likely the tubes are scarred, increasing the chance of infertility and ectopic pregnancy. Once pregnant get checked to r/o ectopic.
