Muscle Wasting: Not sure there is enough information here to answer your question. 59 surgeries is officially the most I have ever heard of for a 53 year old that wasn't involved in major trauma or born with cerebral palsy. Multiple surgeries can cause deconditioning which may be responsible. For muscle wasting would be concerned about motor neuron disease especially if you have episodic cramping (fasciculation.
