Ruptured gangl. cyst: You probably ruptured a benign ganglion cyst of wrist. No treatment needed now-it will just get better. Ganglion cysts are common in the wrist due to repetitive motion.

Wrist lump: The most common cause of lumps/nodules on the wrist are small cysts that grow on the tendons called "ganglia". They are benign and usually don't require any treatment. Sometimes, if they get large enough, they become a nuisance because of the pressure and then can be surgically removed or injected with cortisone (50% effective). Often they rupture on their own and need no treatment.
