Some people: Are more prone to skin cancer and once you have it are even more prone to getting it. Check your sking regularly and be diligent with your dermatologist with professional skin checks.

Skin cancer: Different type of skin cancer- at least the three big ones include squamous cell, basal cell and melanoma. Yes, sun protection is important- but you need to use it properly so it would be effective. Certain type of skin cancer also can be familial. Don't ever get tanned by going to tanning booth. F/u w/derm regularly, long sleeve, long pants, use lotion with high spf, sun glasses/hat.
