Depends.: Many types of keratitis. Many can be cured with medicine (infectious types) or surgery (corneal transplant). There is hope. See an eye surgeon, cornea specialist for help.

Keratitis: There are many causes (infectious, inflammatory, traumatic) of keratitis. The cause and severity of the inflammation will determine how easily this can be treated and patients will be left with vision problems after treatment is started. This can be a very significant problem so make sure you follow closely with your ophthalmologist.

There are many types: There are many types of keratitis and it depends which kind you have. Some are resolved with mild steroids, others can lead to scarring and it depends where the scar is if it will continue to affect your vision. Talk to your ophthalmologist.
