Anxiety and Panic: First there was no reason to go to the er. I would recommend in the future that you contact and use the services of your family physician first. Second this is a very common situation when one is anxious or stressed. Over breathing causes this tingling feeling and it is the number one reason a young female has these symptoms.

Nerve compression: Tingling of finger tips can be caused by conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome or ulnar compression neuropathy at the elbow. If associated with neck and arm pains, then need to consider cervical problems in the neck.
