Water: Water is great for your kidneys. You can't "detoxify" or take anything that will make your kidneys work better, but controlling any high blood pressure and drinking lots of water is the best way to protect them.

Water: Your kidneys are big filters. Just like with any filter, best work and flow occurs when they are kept clean and fluid flowing freely. The best way to achieve this is not with pollutants to the filter such as with added supplements and substances that the kidneys must filter, but rather by keeping the flow going by drinking adequate water and then some more. Adults should be drinking 60-80 ounces/d.
