A member asked:

I have pcos and only one tube, due to a large cyst, the other was removed. i had an hsg done and my tube is blocked. could this be from the surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several causes: Having previous surgery could cause scar tissue to form as you heal. This scar tissue may cause blockage but this would be difficult to determine without further surgery. There are other causes of blocked tubes, such as previous infection, endometriosis, etc. Work closely with your doctor to find the cause and possibly determine a form of treatment.
