Not recommended: All medications should be properly discarded after their expiration date. The safety of the medication after the expiration date will be effected by the temperature at which it has been stored, its exposure to light, and its exposure to moisture. The history of these factors is sometimes not known and therefore it is best to properly discard after the expiration date.
