Does strep throat cause garlic smelling breath?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Smell of strep: Streptococcal infection of the throat does cause the breath to have a peculiar and unique odor. Once you have smelled it you know it. It could be described as garlic like but it is not exactly the same. Close but not quite!
