A member asked:

Can a sports hernia cause intestinal blockage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NO: A 'sports hernia' is a misnomer. It usually refers to pain at the public tubercle from tearing of the rectus sheath off the tubercle. This won't lead to intestinal blockage. A true hernia is a hole in the abdominal wall, and can lead to intestinal blockage if bowel is trapped in a defect. Good luck.
