Can sports hernia cause lower back pain?

Doubtful: Sports hernia is a term used or groin pain in athletes that may be attributable to a hernia, or musculoskeletal inflammation from the adductor tendon, or muscle strain in the area. Shouldn't cause back pain, but associated spine disc disease could be responsible for groin pain. May need a special MRI to make the determination.

No : But sometimes low back problems involving the upper lumbar spine can refer pain to the groin area (and be mistaken for a hernia)...
