What does a dark streak on the right side of the big toe under the nail mean?

Depends on your race: Dark streaks under the toenail in darker skinned people can be normal. In lighter skinned races, it could be a melanoma.

Trauma - Melanoma ?: Has the streak been there for years and unchanging? This could be a melanin streak or fungal infection. Has the streak come on recently but growing out? This could be trauma. Has the streak come on in the past year or so but is not growing out and possibly spreading to the base of the nail? This should be looked at immediately as it can be melanoma.
