This is a normal effect after multiple extractions. Partially clotted blood and some debris fell into your upper guard when you put it on. Keep area clean and follow instructions given by dentist. Let all the blood clot in area before you put guard back in so you don't disturb the wound site.

After the extraction, the clots should be form. The dark mess of probably blood and granulation tissue. Keep the area clean with swap and avoiding wearing the tooth guard for at least a day will help. Infection, if occurs, usually happens on day three. Follow up with your dentist if pain or inflammation increase after day three.
