Low platelets: Platelets are cells which help you to stop bleeding. Think of them as bricks which build a wall in a hole. The normal range is 150, 000 to 400, 000. They can be low for many reasons and as the number decreases symptoms may occur such as bruising, nose bleeds, gum bleeding and blood in urine or stool. I would recommend having a hematologist evaluate you to determine the cause.
