Yes: Prometrium (micronized progesterone) capsules can be taken vaginally. When a woman is pregnant and needs extra Progesterone that is usually the way it is given. I have occasionally had my non pregnant patients take Prometrium (micronized progesterone) vaginally. The capsule needs to be inserted in the vagina up near the cervix at bedtime.
