Can i get shingles or chicken pox from ma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

From anyone: If you haven't had chickenpox (varicella) or the vaccine you can get it from anyone. Pregnant moms-to-be who have had chickenpox will transfer passive immune protection to their fetuses before birth. This protection lasts about 6 months. Moms having chickenpox in the final week of pregnancy may pass the virus to their newborn infants. Neonatal chickenpox is very serious and dangerous.
