A member asked:

Why would a 70 year old man have trace of blood in ejaculate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not serious: There are many things can cause blood to leak into the urethra. Cancer is rare but a man with blood in the ejaculate should be checked for this. Infection is also possible but usually other symptoms would be present. If the person is on some sort of blood thinner this would make bleeding more likely but the blood thinner should not be stopped without consulting their health care provider.
